HORSEBACK TRAIL RIDES
Montana Rivers and Ridges Outfitter has access to hundreds of miles of beautiful trails within the Bitterroot National Forest. From the valley floor to the Idaho Montana border horseback is a very peaceful way to experience the splendor of the Mountains.
We offer full day and half day trail rides. A full day ride includes up to 6 hours in the saddle. On a full day ride we have the option of doing a destination ride; often we ride 6-8 miles into a mountain lake or alongside a creek as it meanders through the drainage. The thick forest creates very comfortable shade for your ride on a hot summer day. Once the destination is reached on a full day ride, lunch will be provided. You will be able to relax creek or high mountain lakeside for up to two hours while you enjoy your lunch and the tranquility of the Bitterroot Mountains before climbing back on your trusty horse or mule to enjoy the ride back out.
A half day ride includes a peaceful ride along a creek. You will be able to spend up to 3 hours in the saddle with a break in the middle creek side. On half day rides we can accommodate riders as young as 8 years old.
At Montana Rivers and Ridges Outfitter our goal is to provide you with the highest quality outdoor experience available. Our guides are extremely knowledgeable of horses, mules, mountains, trails and wildlife. Our horses and mules have had years of experience traversing mountain trails; logging thousands of miles along the way.
